When I was 16 I was in a car accident leaving me a partial quadriplegic. I lost complete use of my legs, torso, hands and partial arm control. Shortly after my release from the hospital, I taught myself how to use a keyboard again with no adaptive equipment. I now control my keyboard with just the use of my pinky knuckles. I quickly took to Photoshop and Illustrator, focusing my built up energy into design. Now 15 years later I built up a client base and continue to extend my creativity and skill.
I saw design as a outside-the-box way to un-limit myself in a limited situation. When I design it is just me, not my wheelchair, not my disability, not boxed in.
